陕西师范大学是教育部直属、世界一流学科建设高校。学校位于西安，占地面积2800亩，建有长安、雁塔两个校区。
学校设有研究生院和21个学院、1个基础实验教学中心及民族教育学院（预科教育），有65个本科专业，18个博士学位授权一级学科，41个硕士学位授权一级学科，1个博士专业学位授权点（教育博士），24个硕士专业学位授权点（含工程硕士9个领域）。
学校现有教师1752人。全日制本科生 17502人，研究生 17343人（其中全日制学生8341人，非全日制学生9002人），继续教育和网络教育学生66034人，外国留学生1100 余人。
学校两校区图书馆面积达5.78万平方米，藏有纸质图书 428 万册，引进国内外电子资源77个平台，234个数据库。学校还设有教育博物馆，由中国教育馆、妇女文化馆、历史文化馆、书画艺术馆四部分组成。
学校不断加大对外交流与合作的力度，先后与美国、英国、法国、德国、俄罗斯、韩国、日本、阿富汗、乌兹别克斯坦、哈萨克斯坦、吉尔吉斯斯坦、乌克兰、亚美尼亚等30多个国家以及香港、澳门、台湾地区的130余所高校和教育机构建立了友好合作关系。学校设有教学实验性质的附中、附小、幼儿园。
shaanxi normal university is directly under the ministry of education and a world-class discipline construction university. the school is located in xi'an, covering an area of 2800 mu, with two campuses, chang'an and yanta. the university has graduate school, 21 colleges, 1 basic experimental teaching center and college of national education (preparatory education), 65 undergraduate majors, 18 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degree, 41 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degree, 1 doctoral degree authorization point (educator), 24 master's degree authorization points (including 9 fields of master's degree in engineering). there are 1752 teachers in the school. there are 17502 full-time undergraduates, 17343 postgraduates (including 8341 full-time students and 9002 part-time students), 66034 students in continuing education and online education, and more than 1100 foreign students. the library area of the two campuses of the university is 57800 square meters, with 4.28 million paper books, 77 platforms and 234 databases of electronic resources at home and abroad. the school also has an education museum, which is composed of four parts: china education museum, women's culture museum, history and culture museum, calligraphy and painting art museum. the university has continuously increased its foreign exchange and cooperation, and has established friendly and cooperative relations with more than 30 countries including the united states, the united kingdom, france, germany, russia, south korea, japan, afghanistan, uzbekistan, kazakhstan, kyrgyzstan, ukraine, armenia, as well as more than 130 universities and educational institutions in hong kong, macao and taiwan. the school has attached middle school, attached primary school and kindergarten with experimental teaching nature.
